Palmas Publishing is officially open for business. This has been a dream of mine for some time and finally with the help and support from my mother, fellow author Laura Perez (Laura Luzmila) and the infinite support of my honey Maria, the dream has become a reality.
I am officially publishing my own books as well as those of my mother under this press. Additionally, thanks to some groundwork I’ve laid out, I will be accepting submissions for publication beginning October 1, 2016. Submission guidelines will be available on this site as early as September 15th. Keep an eye out for them!
The October 1st launch coincides with the release of The Hunt-A Thrill of the Hunt Anthology that includes short stories from authors of all genres who have gotten together to write some thrillers. Self edited (each author responsible) the formatting and most of the individual cover work was done by Kelly Abell of Select-O-Grafix, LLC. The main cover for the new book and cover for the first story in the anthology was created by yours truly, Laura E. Perez, Publisher and graphic designer at Palmas Publishing.
Palmas welcomes the support of the local writer community as well as readers of all types. The goal is to publish at least 3-5 works per quarter which is another reason for the October 1st submission date. This first endeavor will have a short turnaround with the next submission cycle rolling out for December 1, 2016.
On a side note, since I am WordPress illiterate, please bear with me as I continue to update the website. (bangs head on desk)
